In recognition of its initiative to promotethe share of women in management, the company has now been honoredwith the Catalyst Award 2019. Catalyst is a US-based non-profitorganization that aims, among other things, to promote projectsdesigned to advance women. Each year, Catalyst recognizes companiesand initiatives that foster diversity and inclusion, and create aworkplace culture that promotes women in management. Since 1987,Catalyst has recognized a total of 89 organizations and companiesworldwide. Deutsche Post DHL Group is the first Germany company toreceive the Catalyst Award in recognition of its global activitiesin promoting women in management.
Catalyst assesses and evaluates nominated programs andinitiatives based on a wide range of criteria: Strategy andrationale, senior leadership activities, accountability andtransparency, communication, employee engagement, innovation andmeasurable results. In-depth interviews were held with the Board ofManagement as well as with managers and employees at variouslocations to gain an accurate insight into the DPDHL activitiesunder its “Women in Management” initiative. With the findings:employees describe DPDHL Group as an international, inclusive,flexible and results-oriented employer.
